Beautiful, beautiful weather!

We have been spending so much time outside when we get home from work and daycare because the weather is SO nice! Sydney enjoys pushing her wagon up and down the sidewalk; she looks like she's being forced to do it (all stretched out forward, head hanging down) but she loves it and goes nuts when we stop! I can't wait for this summer--it's going to be a blast with her!

Sydney also took her first steps about a week and a half ago. She is SO determined to walk that she'll just take off walking from the middle of the room...then she'll meet the carpet. :) Between Joe and I she will walk, then stop and stand and then take off walking again. So she's starting to get the hang of it. We still don't have any baby gates...so we need to get on top of that pretty soon!

Anticipated rainy day turned beautiful!

Today we had plans to meet my parents at the zoo, but with the forecast of rain we decided to just hang out at our house. It rained this morning but never again the rest of the day. Sydney had a great time loving on her grandparents (who enjoyed every second of it!) and even whined and was sad when they had to leave! It was very touching to see her reach for them and want to be with them some more. They're always afraid that living so far away she won't remember them...though I knew she would. :)

Once we got home from eating supper with them and saying our goodbyes, we came home and played outside! Sydney pushed her wagon up and down the driveway probably 40 times! She acted as if she were running a marathon though I'm sure she was getting pretty exhausted! After I put her to bed she woke up shortly after crying...I didn't know what she really wanted but I got her some water and she drank half the cup!! (Poor girl--I didn't even give her a drink after all that she did outside!) I laid her back down and she hasn't made a peep since! :)

New to blogging!

After seeing a friend's blog I thought I'd enjoy starting one for our family...especially now that Sydney is older and I have some time. :) I'm anxious to see how well I keep up with this. :)

The past couple of days have been wonderful! The weather has been beautiful and we have spent our entire evenings outside playing. Sydney was intent yesterday stacking up some twigs and rocks on my lap. I tried so hard to get a picture of her smiling, but she was so serious that I couldn't get a smile from her! (I think she's going to be a gardener or landscape designer!) We've also been walking and playing in the yard with our dog Maggie. It's so refreshing being able to enjoy the beautiful weather outside!
